When I have my doors of, the OEM mirrors are obviously not there so do not have the yellow arrow on the mirror to remind me someone might be beside me. The alarm function when the blinker is turned on, and someone is in the blind spot would be ideal when the doors are off - I would rather have it with doors off and not when on
